Most boards are disposable; MELLO is permanent. Crafted from industrial-grade HMPE 500, our surfaces are non-porous, odor-resistant, and built to withstand the heat of a professional line. We’ve combined brutalist durability with a high-end aesthetic to create a surface that refuses to be hidden in a drawer.

Yes, and that’s a good thing. MELLO is engineered to be knife-friendly. The material is designed to 'give' slightly under pressure, protecting your blade’s edge. Over time, your board will develop a unique patina of use, a mark of its character and your craft.

No. While MELLO is tough, direct heat from pans or pots can cause warping or melting. Keep the heat for your stove, keep the surface for your prep.

Absolutely. MELLO is built for the real world. Our boards are dishwasher-safe up to 80°C. To maximize longevity, we recommend placing them in the top rack.

We don’t settle for 'standard' food-grade plastic. MELLO surfaces are engineered from Premium UHMWPE—the absolute best-in-class thermoplastic. With molecular chains significantly longer than regular polyethylene, it creates a surface so dense and impact-resistant that it’s trusted in aerospace and medical orthopedics. It is 100% food-safe, BPA-free, and PFAS-free. This isn't just a board; it's industrial-grade tech for your home.

Safety and longevity are non-negotiable for us. By using UHMWPE, we utilize a material with a much higher density than conventional cutting boards. This extreme molecular density significantly reduces surface wear and shedding compared to standard plastics.

While no surface is entirely immune to friction, our material is chemically inert and non-absorbent, meaning it won't harbor bacteria or mold. We chose the highest grade available to ensure that your surface remains as pure and resilient as possible, protecting both your knives and your health.

For daily use, a simple rinse or dishwasher cycle is enough. For a deep refresh (once a month): scrub the surface with a mix of baking soda, salt, and half a lemon. Let it sit for 3 minutes, rinse, and your board is as fresh as the day you bought it.

Sustainability starts with longevity. By creating a board that outlasts dozens of cheap alternatives, we significantly reduce waste. Buy less, choose better. Our material is 100% recyclable, and our packaging is entirely plastic-free.
